DNA and the Elders

Just curious, and I'm just starting this process, but know that some enthusiasts have been using DNA quite successfully. My mother (1896-1936)was born an Elder, was subsequently adopted and therefore there is no known ancestry trail. I was just 4 the year of her passing and know little about her. My wife's family has used a great deal of DNA testing to track back a long way and so I'm wondering if anyone working Elder's is doing the same. This will be my last chance to find out something about my mother.

Anyone who may have some information can find me at phwb@ca.rr.com

Many thanks Rod Brown
