Looking for my dad?
Posted by: Bobbie Hudson Penick (ID *****0387) Date: February 24, 2012 at 17:42:15

I don't know much about him at all so hoping to find help here.
His name is Robert Luther Elder from Indiana)i think) and has two sisters,Geraldine and Shirley Ann. His father was Robert Luther and his mother was Geneva. I also had great grandparents who were Robert Luther Elder and Elizabeth Maude.
My great grandfather worked as a farrier at Indiana State Fairgrounds shoeing sulky horses for over fifty years. My dad Robert played sax and trombone in a band before I was born and was in the CB's of the Navy 123rd Construction Battalion. I remember as a very small girl there were family in Noblesville and Shelbyville Indiana.
I believe he was an engineer for Boeing in San Diego Cal. and later in Bellevue, Washington or Belleville, Washington. His second wife's name was Jean and they had several children.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am 68 now and have five children and many grand, great great children who would like to know about my fathers side of the family.
My mothers maiden name was Mildred Harris Davis. She is still living but has dementia and can help only in a limited way.
