Yes Nancy this is surly my family! I'm sad for not finding this info before my dad's passing. On the brighter side I'm so very grateful to have the blanks filled. I can add a bit more info on my great grandparents as to my greatgram's full name which was Elizabeth Maude(Hines)Elder and I do know they had no children. They were the only close Elder family I knew. They spent much time spoiling me as an only child until the age of eight when my great grandpa died. He actually died on his first ever vacation in fifty years of blacksmithing in San Deigo visiting my dad. He was kicked in the head by a horse working which later formed a blood clot that went to his brain. G. gram died in a nursing home here when I was about 22 and before that she had an apartment on N. New Jersey near downtown Indy. G.gramps was one of the most gentle kind men I have ever known. He used to let me practice braiding using his hair altho it wasn't that long , I would tie different colors of ribbons in his balding hair. he would take me to the fairgrounds where he worked so I could watch him make the shoes for the horses. It's no wonder he was so good with the horses. I do remember he worked for a man named Mr. Cole. I have his obit here and when I can I will scan and post it if you think it would be welcome. My mom was in a nursing home but is now with my husband and I here in Indy. It's been a good opportunity to talk here and there as her memory comes and goes!
If there are any other Elder relations from this branch of the Elder Tree I would welcome hearing from any!
Thank you again, I can't tell you haw much this means to me.
Bobbie Sue(Elder)
