I am very curious about the line you gave here. Eleanor Elgey is my great-great-great-grandmother. A lady in Canada has been helping me trace these Elgeys using the census and parish records that she has. She traced them back to James Elgey and Eleanor Firbank. Their son, John, is Eleanor Elgey's father, and all of his brothers and sisters are exactly the same, but the lady in Canada gave me Elizabeth KIPLING as John's wife, rather than Elizabeth King.
Do you know about this line yourself or did it come from Sheila Shaw? Would it be possible to contact her and ask her about it?
Karena.
