D. S. ELLIOTT, retired, Braddock, is a native of this county (Allegheny County), born in December, 1841, to MATTHEW and MARIA (SOLES) ELLIOTT, of Braddock (formerly Wilkins) Township, who were the parents of two children, D. S. and MRS. ELIZABETH CAMPBELL.The father, who was a carpenter by trade, died in 1854, aged 38 years. The subject of these lines was born and reared in McKeesport, Pa., and educated at the public schools. In 1867 he married AGNES J., daughter of SAMUEL and ELIZA (STEWART) McCUTCHEON, and by her has four children: D. T., JENNIE F., CLARENCE C. and LESTER L.MR. ELLIOTT has followed agricultural pursuits all his life, and is now owner of 180 acres of land in Braddock Township, the working of which he superintends.He came to North Braddock in 1884, and here built his present handsome residence.He is a Democrat.
