I believe that Lydia's maiden name is Williamson and she is the daughter of Samuel Williamson and Louisa Dooley.
It appears to me that Francis and Lydia married in Dane County in 1849, as Zenetta (yes, that's her real name) was born 27 Jul 1849 (why she isn't listed on the 1850 census is anyone's guess).Francis and Lydia's son Samuel's full name is Samuel Williamson Ellis. There is a Samuel Williamson on the 1850 and 1860 census in Blooming Grove, Dane County, Wisconsin just a few doors down from Francis and Lydia in 1850.
Lydia died in Minnesota, where she was living with her son Samuel and his home caught fire and she burned to death.I have no further information on Francis and would desparately like to find some information on him.
Can anyone help?
