I stumbled onto this forum quite by accident and am thrilled to do so. I have been trying to get a break through in my Grandmother's geneology for some years now and got my first connection two weeks ago through Christopher Columbus Allison.
Following is my connection to him.
Me--Christina Lillian Yarnell--born Aug 6, 1950.
Mother--Emogean Ellen (Stubblefield) Frye--born Sept 30, 1932.
Grandmother--Emma Ellen (Allison) Stubblefield--born March 19, 1982.
Great Grandfather--John Christopher Allison--born 11 Apr 1854 died 28 Feb 1928
Great Great Grandfather--Christopher Columbus Allisonborn 8 Feb 1823 died 14 Jan 1910.
His Father is James Allison born 18 Oct 1815 in Tennessee and died 1 Jul 1878.
In turn his father is Joseph Allison in SC born 6 Jan 1753 and died 1828 in TN.
I actually made the break through Mathias Allison and I made a conclusion that Christopher Columbus and Mathias were brothers, to my delight, they were.
I would appreaciate any help with evidence to support my ancestors that you might give.
I could get either or both of my sons to participate in the DNA test or possibly even a brother of my mother's or even my brother.
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to hearing from any and all of you my new found cousins.
