Edward Elms of Petersburgh, England

The 1841 English Census lists a John & Ruth Elms in the Village of Werrington, Northamptonshire County, with children: Thomas, Edward, James and Rebecca. Edward's age was listed as 8, making his birth in 1833. This corresponds to an Edward Elms who was from England, died in 1890 in Windsor, Nova Scotia, at the age of 56, making his birth in 1834. With the errors encountered in census taking, are these two Edward Elms the same person? Edward did not appear in subsequent English censuses and could have emigrated to Nova Scotia. Can anyone confirm this connection and add any light to the period from 1841 to his marriage to Mary Ann Sivwright in Windsor, or possibly Truro, in about 1860?
