Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Charles Elms Spratt was the son of Rebecca Elms and her first husband, John Spratt. His mother was the daughter of Charles [1757-1836] and Rebecah Withers Elms [1766-1834].

Hamilton and John Elms were the sons of Charles Haywood Elms and his first wife, Angelina Robinson Elms. Their mother died in 1863, and their father died in 1880. John became a private detective and died in San Francisco in 1914. He had a son named John Workman Elms with his wife, America Workman Elms. A few years after their divorce, she married Ulysses S. Grant, Jr. I do not know what happened to Hamilton.

John W. Elms, husband of Susan Kee, was James Hamilton Elms' first cousin. John was the son of John and Margaret Alexander Elms. James was the son of Charles Elms, Jr. and Sarah Barnett Elms.
