Very interesting to find others researching David Emanuel, 1744-1808. I have info about his father,David Emanuel, Sr. who died in 1768-69. David Sr. was granted 134 Ac in PA. in 1734; he was in Lunenburg, VA in 1746-1753 and moved to St. Georges Parish , GA about 1755. Have cc of his will and other doc. Histories of Gov. David E. say he was born PA or Wales. However, it appears David Sr. may have come fro PA. or Wales and David the Governor was probably born in VA. Recently found that there were Emanuels in southern Wales in the early 1700's. Will be happy to trade info. E-mail jimjoy@nccn.net
