Thanks for reply. My g-greatfather was Benjamin Thomas Emanuel b 1806 in Burke Co. GA. Benjamin apparently was orphaned as a child; had a sister Elizabeth. Am trying to firm up documentation that Benjamin's father was Lewis Emanuel, brother of your Ann Emanuel Whitaker. Do you have any info that would help confirm this; e.g. was Benjamin T. named after his uncle Benjamin Whitaker? Did Benjamin & Ann Whitaker possibly raise Benjamin T. Emanuel.

Would you like any of my documentation on Gov. David Emanuel and/or his father David, Sr.?
