I am looking for the family of Martha Emanuel, b. Oct. 5, 1817 in Georgia, d. March 09, 1894, in Texas. She married June 07, 1836, in Decatur Co., Ga, Jesse Womack, b. November 19, 1813 prob. in Wilkinson Co., Ga., d. May 28, 1880, in Texas.

Their children were: Rebecca (married Solomon Teddlie ), John (died in the Civil War), Mary (married James Killen ), Edward C. (married Sarah A. Jordan ), Lucinda (married Owen Glendower Jones ), Nancy (married Shepperd ?), Elizabeth (married Killen, later Stovall ), Lewis, Zeariya ( Zeanie ? - married Charles Tharpe ), Martha (married John Pennington ), Monroe, and Asa.

Jesse Womack was the son of David Womack of Gadsden Co., Florida. Jesse also lived in Georgia and Alabama, and later migrated through Mississippi from about 1840-1842, possibly with his half-brother, George Washington Norwood. This Jesse and Martha Womack family lived in Natchitoches and Winn Parish, La, from about 1850-1860 before moving to Texas after the start of the Civil War. In 1862, they were living near Beeville and later moved north of Austin, near Travis County.
