Hi Ryan,
I am grasping at straws as I try to figure out my WEEDEN,
WEELDON/BROWN AA/Native family line of SC, NC and VA.
Came across the MANUEL/EMANUEL surname years ago in my research, but that deadended as have most of the many surnames that appear to be connected.
I am however, curious abt your ISABELLA, as the BRUTON
surname may have a connection to BRUTON, VA where I believe
some kin were slaves.
Also, am interested in the ASKEW surname which somehow
connects in NC.
Wish I could be more specific, but after 13yrs of research,
I am still w/o connections nor does ANYONE acknowledge kinship to my line, but figure if I keep at it long enough,
someone will come up w/relevant info.
carol wheeldin warren.
