Frances Emanuel was my 2nd great-grandmother. She is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raiford,Fl.
Headstone reads: James b.1814, Frances b. 1819. Both are in Census, Bradford County,Fl. 1870. Their son Richard Samuel was
my great-grandfather.
Pioneeers of Wiregras Ga. list Amos as Frances' father.
Sidenote:Fla.Times Union, Dec.18,1994 Article regarding the Union troopship, MapleLeaf that sank during the Civil War, in the St.Johns on April 1,1864. Four Confederate prisoners were aboard,two of those being Asa Emanuel and son Amos.
Asa Emanuel and his son Amos, both survived.
