David had several brothers who also served in the revolution, such as Amos and Asa. They all resided near each other and named their children after each other. One David Emanuel moved to Tallahassee, Florida in the late 1820's and then to Decatur County, Georgia. His wife's name was Rebecca, and she was born in 1786 according to Bible records. His son Hilliard John Emanuel married Rebecca Alligood in 1838. Their son David Emanuel was my grgr grandfather. He served in the 17th Ga
Infantry and died in the 1880's. I have collected a good bit of information about this particular branch.
