Deaths
BRUCE EMBERLING, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday at his home in Odgen, Utah, after a long illness. He moved to Ogden 34 years ago. He was retired from Wilson Foods. Mr. Emberling was a member of Mount Hermon Masonic Lodge of Cedar Rapdis, the Scottish Rite and Shrine Temple of Utah. Mr. Emberling is survived by his wife, the former RUTH VANOUS; one daughter, Mrs. REED ADAMS of Sandy, Utah, two grandchildren and two sisters. Services will be Thursday at the Linquist Mortuary with Masonic services and burial at Washington Terrace Cemetery in Ogden.

BRUCE FRANKLIN EMBERLING, 79, of 1095 Darling, died December, 25, 1977 in his home of natural causes. He was born Nove. 14, 1898 in Carbondale, Iowa, son of CHARLES and MARGARET TRUMAN EMBERLING. He married RUTH VANOUS July 25, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was retired from the Wilson Co. after 45 years of service as a sheep buyer. He had been an Ogden resident for the past 34 years and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Iowa, F. & A.M., A. and A. Scottish Rite Masonary, Salt Lake City, and a member of the El Kalah Temple, Salt Lake City. He was also a member of the Golden Hours Center of Ogden. Survivors are his widow; a daughter Mrs. REED (LINDA) ADAMS of Sandy, two grandchildren; a brother HOWARD EMBERLING of San Francisco and two sisters, Mrs. IRV (RUTH) GREEN and Mrs. WILLIAM (LOUISE) HORN, both of Paradise, California. Public Masonic services will be conducted Thursday in Lindquist & Sons Mortuary in Ogden with HAROLD GIBBS of the George Washington Lodge officiating. .. Burial will be in the Washington Heights Memorial Park.
