Edie, Are you the Edith that was in the Indiana, PA Historical Society library sometime back in the 80's at the same time I was? I pretty much found what I was looking for. GEORGE is a tough one for everybody. If you don't already know, George is "earthworker". My great-grandfather was George who came to PA around 1849. I still live in Kittanning. I have a lot of information, mostly not connected, New York and Pennsylvania. Based on all the information and studies that I have done, I honestly believe the variations of spelling, ie. Emeigh, Ameigh, Aigmey, Aighmy, Eamigh, .....come from the New York Family. I, along with everybody else, do not have proof of this. Just a strong hunch.
