There is a John Emigh associated with Emeigh, PA., but it is a different John Emigh. He lived from 1818 to 1880 and is buried in nearby Cherry Hill. His wife was Susannah Breth Emigh (1822-1910), and they had 11 children. Also buried at Cherry Tree is his mother, Mary Law Emigh. It is thought that his father was Charles Emeigh (the family seems to have changed the spellng or reverted back to an older spelling after his death), and that John Emigh came to Emeigh (then simply a part of Susquehanna Twp) in 1827 with his father.
