I too am looking for information about George. Aborn abt late 1760's. Died in War of 1812. Son of Henrich and Sarah. George Married Mary Miler (1772-1858).

Mary and at least one of their children spell the name "Eighmey", though War of 1812 records show an Emigh.

George was born in either Saratoga, NY or Dutchess County. MOst, if not all, of his children were born in Saratoga. HIs wife, Mary, was born in Dutchess County, NY and died in Sandy Spring, Oswego County, NY.

George served in 82Reg't Gurness's New York during the war of 1812.

I would really love confirmation that Abraham Ameigh, who had children named George and Mary, was the son of George and Mary Eighmey or Emig or Eighmey or Eighmy. Abraham was also born in NY and we are quite certain that Abe is one of Johann Emig's descendents.

If anyone lives near Oswego, NY and could check for an obituary for Mary Miller Eighmey, I would be grateful.

Gail Ameigh
