Hi Brenda,
I am researching the Elmslie (note the "L") family of Waverley New Zealand. I know from my research that "Elmslie" and "Emslie" are interchangeable (ie the same family, originally from Aberdeen, Scotland). We are probably distantly related although I am not sure just what the connection is. I am descended from Peter Elmslie who emigrated from Huntly, Aberdeen in 1866 on board the ship Caribou.
Cheers,
Andrew Honeyfield Te Aroha New Zealand andy.honey@xtra.co.nz
