Last week I was in the Kincardine O'Neil kirkyard and copied the following inscription from one of the gravestones:
Erected by Elizabeth Clark in treasured memory of her dear husband James Emslie who died February 25th 1943 aged 72 years also Ruth who died in infancy also his dear wife who died at 73 Gellymill Street, Macduff on March 9th 1963 aged 95 years. (end of inscription).
I think the answer to your question about Elizabeth Clark's maiden name is that it was Clark.
I won't be in the Kincardine O'Neil area again for a few months but I may be able to take a photograph of the gravestone and send it as an attachment if either of the previous writers are interested.
