In reading the family listing you have described, I am wondering if your grand parents were cousins to My Great Grand Father John Henry Paul Emslie Born late 1850's around the same area. He and his wife Jane Christie b.1862 had sons Hector, John, James (Jimmy) and Walter.
John my Grandfather was born Nov 14 1888. The complete family immigrated to Eastern Townships Quebec 1906-07.

Any info that could help in the connection back to Scotland and the Aberdeen area would be most appreciated.
