Hello from Mansfield, Penna. Was scanning the message board today and wanted to let you know that some of your information is incorrect. By the way your dad (Bob) and my dad(Jerry) were brothers. Here is the information I have on our Gr. Grandparents and our Gr.gr. grandparents. John Enderle (I have never been able to find out his middle name) married Minnie Lee Shaff on January 1, 1889. He was 24 , she was 18. Her parent's names were John Henry and Elizabeth Shaff, they came from Ny state and lived in farmington township (tioga,pa) until they died. They are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery. As are John and Minnie. John's parents names were John M and Johanna Enderle.I do not know the date but believe it was in the late 1840's early 1850's - they met on a small boat while coming to America - the trip took between 28 and 36 days. He came from Berlin Germany and she Switzerland, her last name was Miller. They married in Liverpool Ny and settled in Saracuse. There they owned a farm where the present day mall is located. They later moved to Tioga Pa - they too are buried in the Evergreen Cemetery , your dad helped me find them, they are buried beneath their daughter Mamie and son in law William, they do not have a headstone. Most of my information was given to me by family members - our grandfather Leon and his cousin Frank from Elkland. Please feel free to email me for more info. Debi PS Interesting fact: The Evergreen Cemetery began in Tioga in 1863, and since it beginning 5 generations of Enderle's have worked there; John M., John, Leon, Gerald (your dad too), and Trevor.
