Endsleys Black & White

At the following website: http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/print/
EE/fencb.html,
I just ran onto an interesting bio of Jane Johnson ENDSLEY, wife of H.E. Endsley, a tailor (married 1914), a black woman of Rowlett and Dallas, Texas who was one of the founders of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Dallas (later the Good Street Baptist Church).

John Bluford ENDSLEY, a son of James, son of Andrew Sr, all persons of the Caucasian persuasion, was, I infer from Joe Baggett's latest posting, a good Baptist and, although he lived and died in Cass Co, TX, was buried in Macedonia Cemetery in Miller, Arkansas.

Does anyone know of a connection between these two families or any particular significance to the name "Macedonia" in Baptist lore?
