John, forgive me for not answering your question earlier, but was never notified by the website of a response to my post...just happened to fine it while checking the message board. The Mary Endsley that was my gggrandmother was the daughter of Andrew and Isabelle Torrens Endsley. I'm not sure if they ever lived in Fayette County, and our information seems to indicate that Andrew and his siblings were born in Cumberland County (that was Franklin County at the time of some of their births). I'm not sure if Cumberland or Fayette were ever a part of Franklin. At different times, their names were spelled Enslow, Ansley, etc. The family seemed to uniformly change their spelling to Endsley when they moved to Ohio. Our Andrew Endsley seemed to be constantly moving west - from Cumberland County to Washington County to Harrison County (Ohio), then to Illinois. From looking at the family history, I could not easily identify any John Endsley that married a Brown. However, if you want to send me relevant dates, I will try to search further. There are many Johns and a few Williams in the family. I have added many names to my family history by reading John Darrell Endsley's book "The Endsley Family in the New World". This book is mentioned in other posts on this message board. I'll be happy to check the book further if you can provide dates. Betty Notify Administrator about this message?
