Let me not confuse you more, but..I too, am having problems searching through the Endsleys. However, this information comes from Wayne County, IN (Courthouse is in Richmond Indiana) Abraham Endsley(1776-1850) Died and his will is listed there. His oldest daughter Elizabeth born in Ohio in 1802, married Noble Butler on the 14th of Dec 1823. 2nd marriage to John Gates on March 29, 1835, She then married Willaim Shippen (Sheppin) on April 29, 1858. I believe that you will find this in the Wayne County Indiana records. I believe they lived with Abraham, who was widowed, In fact I believe they had use of the family farm in Abington, IN for one year after the death of Abraham. Abraham's 8th child was a WIlliam Endsley born after 1821 ? in IN. He married a Frances Shippen on August 2nd, in either 1840 or 1846. This information was given to me in 1978 by a man in California who was researching the Endsley's. Abraham's wife Rachaael died Nov. 24th, 1823. They are buried in Elkhorn Cemetery. Abraham arrived in IN around 1805. Apparently his children born before that time were born on his way to Indiana. Namely Ohio. I will try to go through my papeers for more information, but give me some time. One major problem has been that each son of several generations used the name John, Elihu, Abraham, etc. So there are many floating around. If you want to contact me, my e-mail is Hope this helps.
