My ggrandfather Joseph used to tell that his father was killed in the war. However my son has done alot of research and thus far has found nothing. There are entries that show land sells by him around Ashflat and the next year he is not on the census. His wife however, is shown as head of house after that; buying and selling livestock. You may be familiar with a historical book on the town of Ashflat, Arkansas that tells some about his family but not much on him. Please tell me about your Granville, as I know some about Jerry the other brother but not Granville. Thanks for answering me.
