Looking for Engelman connection to Leisnig Germany

My grandfather came to the US about 1883. The name on his /papers was Charles (Karl) Josef Engelman. DOB 12/17/1867. He had at least one brother named Bruno and a younger sister with red hair. His mother made him promise to never speak of his family so that "the military" would not find him and send him back. He was an acrobat / boxer when he came to the US. He was a wonderful and homesick man. It would be enormous to my whole family if we could find a connection to our estranged family.

Thank you so very much in advance
