as far as i have leARNED FOR ENGHS IN AMERICA ANYWAY, THE SURname engh comes from the engh farm which is about a 15 minute train ride north of Oslo. i have heard that the farm still exists. farmers in norway or other laborers would take on the name of the farm they worked at as a third name. this ritual ended about the time norwegians stopped using thier last names as "son of " my great grandfather was charles anderson engh, his fathers name was ander, and he came from the engh farm. there a few non related engh clans in america that came from the engh farm, and although this is the point of research i am at: i know they sent letters to each other in america. any info anyone has on the enghs is greatly appreciated, and i am willing to share
