My grandparents were both born in Red River Co. My grandmother was Ethel VICKREY sometimes spelled as Vickery) ENOX who married John Garland ENOX. She was born at Kanawha in 1901 and he was born in Manchester in 1897. They were married July 28, 1917 in Deport and had eight children that lived. My mother was born in Manchester in 1933, Patricia Louise ENOX. She and her family moved from there in 1937 to Ft. Washita, OK.

I have all that family history. Where I am lost is prior to my grandfather. My paternal great grandfather was John Marion ENOX who married Fannie Frances BRYANT (sometimes written as Bryan) August 10,1884 in Clarksville. I know nothing of her family other than she was born between Clarksville and Bagwell on May 5, 1870...and her father's name was William BRYANT. I have no idea what her mother's name was or anything else.

John Marion ENOX was the son of James Fleece ENOX who married Margaret Joanna HEMBY April 29, 1853. I was told that she died in childbirth with John Marion and he was born November 27, 1862. She had three daughters prior to my greatgrandfather. I don't know their names or anything about the HEMBY family. After her death James Fleece remarried in 1866.

I would like to find out more information on my great grandmother and her parents...Fannie Frances BRYANT, as well as, the family memebers related to my great great grandmother Margaret Joanna HEMBY.

A researcher did send me some information on a Joseph ENOCKS married to Joana ENOCKS in Texas with daughters named Sarah, Lucy, and Semantha. The ages of the adults and the children would fit well with my James ENOX married to Margaret Joanna in that region and the three daughters born prior to what would be my great grandfather John Marion's birth.

I will gladly share any information I have and would greatly appreciate any further info on these lines.
