David F ENOX (or ENOCHS or ENOCKS)
I am interested in finding the parents/siblings of David F ENOX (also spelled ENOCHS and ENOCKS).
My Grandfather was John Garland ENOX b. 1897 Manchester TX.
His parents were John Marion ENOX b. 1862 Red River Co. TX and Fannie Frances BRYANT b. 1870 TX.
His grandparents were James Fleece ENOX(on the 1860 Red River Co. census spelled ENOCKS) b. 1828 Warren Co. KY and Margret Joana HEMBY B. 1838 TX.
His G Grandfather David Fleece ENOX b.~1795 VA was married twice. His first marriage I do not know the wife's name, nor if he was still in VA, however from a census of Red River Co.TX in 1850 I know the names of the children and that they were all born in KY.His second wife was Lucinda GOTT b. 1810 KY and they married 3 March 1842in Warren Co. KY they had two children prior to moving to Texas.Their third child born in 1847 was born in Texas so they moved sometime between 1845 and 1847 to Texas.
I am interested in his parents, siblings, and who his first wife was.Apparently she died between 1840 and 1842 because the 1840 Warren Co. census has a female the age of what his wife would be, and he didn't marry the second wife until 1842.
Does anyone know of burials in the cemeteries there in Warren Co. and how I could get information on any possible Enox's buried there??Or of marriages that could be checked to see if there was a marriage with David F. ENOX around 1827/8?
For additional info in case it might help:
David had 10 children with the first wife and then three with Lucinda.I have the names of the last three and 5 of the first 10, they were: James Fleece, Polly A., Squire Jefferson, Margaret E., Lucy E., David F., Richard P., and Mildred.
I would greatly appreciate any insight into where this part of my family came from and who their family was.I have lots of information on this more recent side of the ENOX family and will gladly share any family information that I have.
Thanks in advance,
Paula Wigington
