I am sorry to say that I don't have anything on John Willford beyond his place and date of birth. You seem to know his wife's name. Do you have her surname, too?

I am descended from the marriage you mention, but according to our family's tradition, Joseph's second wife's name was Phoebe Jane Hill (with and H in stead of an M). Besides my g-grandmother Caroline Willford (b. 1850), Joseph and Phoebe Jane had a daughter who died in infancy (b. 1848) and Joseph Willford (son of Joseph, Joseph, Joseph, Samuel, etc.) who was born 1849. Phoebe Jane Hill, died in 1853 or 1854. So the widowed Mary Ann Enochs, who lived with her son Joseph, could well have served as a substitute mother for Caroline Willford from when she was about 4 years old until she was 16.
