I have been unable to connect your people to either the line of Capt. Gabriel Enochs or to the greater family of his father, John Enochs. If 1795 is the correct birthdate for your John, he would have to be a grandson of Gabriel’s. None of Gabriel’s sons had a matching son but one, and he is known to have married someone else. The one possibility might be Gabriel’s son Gabriel (b. 25/09/71, d. 17/12/98 in Rowan Co.). However, he is not shown to have married.
There were two families of Enochs that arrived in Rowan Co. in the 1750s. The second family was that of Enoch, Jr., John’s younger brother and Gabriel’s uncle. Possibly your John comes down from this line. Unfortunately, I have no data at all on them at this time.
