Gary, thanks for the info on Alfred Enos of Oregon. It is possible that Alfred could have traveled west leaving his wife and son in Texas.It would be interesting to know what Alfred Enos' middle name was. I need to research this further. I have found an A A Enos in Louisiana that married a Margarette Tharp in DeSoto Parish in 1854. This information did not give names for the initials and I am wondering if this person could have been my my GGGrandfather, Alfred Asbury Enos.
