Would the Elisha Enos who was born in 1776 be the one who served in the War of 1812 from the town of Newport, Herkimer Co. NY? There is also an Elisha Enos in Newport in the 1810 census.

I am trying to find out who the father is of the Samuel Enos living in Newport in 1850. And trying to verify that Samuel's daughter Helen Gertrude is the Gertrude Enos who married Francis Underwood in Rutland, Jefferson Co., NY in the 1860's.
