Another point to consider: Anecodotal information I have received is that Enos (in Cheboygan) evolved from Heneau at one point. I have seen the oldest graves in Cheboygan for Enos family members that I can locate (ca 1870's), and the spelling is Enos at that time, at least for this branch, but I don't know how long it took for the name change to move through all the Cheboygan family.
