Hi Jim,

My first husband & children are descendants of Elbert through his son Fred J Enos. Fred m. Flora Furrow. This is what I have found so far.

Fred Enos head 44 IL KY KY
Flora wife 40 IL OH KY had 5 children 4 living
Anna dau. 16 b. KS
Charlie son 14 b. MO
Jessie dau. 8 b.MO
Jennie dau. 8 b.MO

I have Fred's death certificate. Fred died 6 weeks later on June,6,1910 of a cerebral hemorrage caused from a external blow to the head. The coroner stated didn't know if accidental or homicidal at that time. On the death certificate stated parents were Elbert Enos b. TN & Artie Kerley b. TN.

As you can see on the censuses Fred stated his parents place of birth wrong. Also his mother's place of birth is wrong on the death certificate.

Next I see his widow & twin daughters Jessie & Jennie living with the oldest daughter Anna & husband William Williams in Gore,Sumner,KS on the 1920 census. Anna had 3 children at the time Jack Williams b. abt 1916 MO, Paul C. Williams b.8,July,1917 Joplin,MO d. 12,Dec,1994 Longview,Cowlitz,WA(1st husband's father), & Val R. Williams 10 mo. b. MO.

What my father-in-law told me his father died when he was young. His mother remarried to Adolph G. Kaiser & that he was raised in Montana. He also had a half brother Claude Kaiser.

He is on the 1930 census for School Dist. 78,Dawson,MT with his mother & stepfather Adolph Kaiser with brother Val & half brother Claude. Jack died when young before 1930. My father-in-law told me he died from a ruptured appendics. Living a few doors away is Anna's mother Flora living with her widowed brother-in-law Eldon H. Walker, husband of Dora Furrow. Flora died 5,Feb,1932 in Montana.

I do have birth dates & death dates for Val & Claude Kaiser, if you want them. I have just started working on my lst husband's family(I was widowed) for my 2 oldest children. My 1st husbands family is such a wonderful bunch & they consider me still a part of the family even though I remarried & had 1 more child. I guess I was like my husband's grandmother widowed young & remarried. Let me know if I can help you more. Will keep in touch.

Cheryl Ayres
