per my interest in my harris family, can anyone tell me who this edward enroughty was who was associated with both william harris/ judith hudson and samuel harris and more about the enroughty family?

early lunenburg co, va deeds and records associate my william harris, sr/ frances goode with william harris/ judith hudson and i have been trying to learn for years if my william harris, sr/ frances goode was their son, william, per william harris/ judith hudson's 1778 mecklenburg co, va will???

the middle bluestone creek/ woodpecker creek area where both my william harris, sr/ frances goode and william harris/ judith hudson lived became mecklenburg co, va in 1765.

i am also interested if samuel harris, who was also associated with william harris/ judith hudson early in lunenburg co, va, was their son, samuel harris???

here are lunenburg/ halifax/ pittsylvania co, va deeds which show not only that the samuel harris, involved with them and/ or the same individuals, was the same samuel harris, who married lucy camp and who became col samuel harris and reverend samuel harris. per the info, rev samuel harris stated he was born 1724 in hanover co, va.

lunenburg co, va deed book 2, page?, 1750, william harris of lunenburg co, va to samuel harris of same for 60 pds, island/ plantation in the staunton river, adjacent byrd's and cargill's islands, 70 acres being a grant to william harris april 5, 1748. witnesses: john cargill; william hunt. judith, wife of william harris, relinquished her right of dower.

this was john cargill, sr/ rachel tinsley, who, like my william harris, sr/ jr; my mackerness goode, sr/ jr, had a ca 1770 grant in the same little river area of laurens co, sc. their son, cornelius cargill paid the tax/ memorial for my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers' 1772 grant and their son thomas cargill was a purchaser at my william harris, jr's 1800 laurens co, sc estate sale.

the following deeds connect both william harris/ judith hudson and samuel harris with this edward enroughty.

lunenburg co, va deed book 8, page 99, 1764, edward enrougty of lunenburg co, va to matthew marable of same for 20 pds, 100 acres bounded by reedy branch; adams; cary; lidderdale, formerly acknowldeged by john adams to william enroughty. signed: edward enroughty. witnesses: william hunt; william enroughty, his mark; john adams, his mark; william harris. edith, wife of edward enrougty, relinquished her right of dower.

halifax co, va deed book 8, page 317, 1771, samuel harris of pittsylvania co, va to edward enroughty of halifax co, va for 7 pds, 100 acres adjacent lucas and coleman lines. witnesses: richard jones; samuel walden; delpha london; joseph ligon.

halifax co, va deed book 8, page 318, 1771, samuel harris and lucy, his wife, of pittsylvania co, va to richard jones of halifax co, va for 48 pds, 524 acres adjacent richard jones and lucas, being a patent to samuel harris july 5, 1751, which was in lunenburg co, va. witnesses: joseph ligon; john london; samuel walden; delpha london. william hunt.

if you are interested in my harris family and/ or other of these individuals and families, i would appreciate hearing from you.
