NEVA L. ENYEART, 80, of Huntington, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at the
Heritage Nursing Center of Huntington. Born Oct. 11, 1922 in Antwerp, Ohio,
to Henry Charles and Stella Marie Patterson Overmyer, she was a resident of
Huntington since 1944. She was a 1940 graduate of Payne Public High School,
Payne, Ohio, and a 1941 graduate of the Cosmetology Institute of Fort
Wayne. She married Elmer M. Enyeart on May 1, 1944 in Huntington, who
preceded in her death after 53 years of marriage on Jan. 1, 1997. Mrs.
Enyeart was the former owner of the Chic Beauty Shop of Huntington, which
she operated from 1945 to 1996. She had been a licensed cosmetologist since
1941. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Huntington.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Mary L.) Smith of Huntington
and Mrs. Steven (Melissa) Hoffman of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Marjorie
Purcell of Beverly Hills, Fla.. and Naomi Johnson of Fort Wayne; brothers,
Richard E. and Charles E. Overmyer, preceded Mrs. Enyeart in death. There
will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
April 19, 2003, at Trinity United Methodist, 530 Guilford Street, with the
Rev. David Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends at the
church one hour prior to services. Burial will be at a later date in
Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Huntington County. Memorial contributions may be
made to the Humane Society of Huntington County in care of Bailey-Love
Mortuary, 35 West Park Dr., Huntingon, IN 46750.
