This note is not to one certain person, it's : to whom it may concern: John Epler 1743/5 -1773. I don't know where someone got that he married Mary Pfeil , I would appreciate source or proof.
He married Freney(Francika) Shelidan: 12 Jun 1763 in Lancaster Co, Pa. (Vo #3 Lancaster Church records of 18th
Century) Francika Epler relinquished all her legal rights
to Daniel Lemen and Johannes Risser, 22 Oct 1773.
16 Apr 1782, Jacob Smith and John Frantz were appointed guardians of: Christian, Abraham, Mary and John and 13 Oct 1790, the children were given money and case closed.
I know that Mary Pfeil is given as his wife in the DAR book.
Are we talking about two different Johns?
I also have been to the farm in Dauphin Co and to the the "Epler" Church in Berks Co, Pa and I'm not sure we even come from that line. Some of the information I read does not seem to go with ours. I have the papers written in 1902, too.
If someone has proof, I'd love to see it.
I'm not critizing anyone, I just like to get my facts straight and have proof.
My email is now: Shirley Ilene
Shawver Nees
