Epley Book

If you have this book "written by John Wm. Epley, Plymouth, Indiana...Feb.11, was dedicated to his father, Lawrence Epley 1888-1934 and his brother Lawrence Everett Epley 1911-1928" there are corrections to be made. I have been in contact with Mr. Epley and submitted the corrections.

On page 89 you will see Monroe Epley dob 1870 married to Blanche Bennigan. It is the wrong Monroe Epley and her name should be Bennison. It should be Elishie Monroe Epley dob 07/20/1880 (married 05/24/1903)(Logan Co.,Ky. Register 4, page 354)to Blanch Bennison, Elishie Monroe Epley and Blanch Bennison. He died in Illinois and she re-married. Her name was changed to Steinbach.

EPLEY ELISHIE M M/W UNK 0019796 1943-07-06 COOK CHICAGO/BLANCHE STEINBACH 7 Feb 1890 Apr 1972 82 Verona, Lee, MS 38879 (She actually died in Ky., her last benefits were in MS)

Samuel J Epley married Eliza Ann Horn 02/23/1868. (Logan County-Epley, Samuel J./I. to Miss Elizabeth Ann Haun/Ham, MR 3-84, MBB 6-195, 23 Feb 1868. Logan County Marriages) These are the parents of Elishie Monroe Epley.

I hope that this will clear up a few things for people.

Please make sure that you document your findings. Other Epley researchers are finding additional errors. This could be due to lack of information available at the time of the books's research. With the internet and all of the updating being done it is better to confirm your findings.

Thank you.
