After years of not being able to go back past my great granparents on my maternal side, I recently found a cousin of my mother who had traced both sides back several more generations. My gggrandfather is Matthew Nelson. My cousins records show that his wife was named Christiana ?. I found a marriage record in North Carolina for a Matthew Nelson and Christeener Eply in 1827. Because the dates were similar, I had hopes that it was them. Now that I see your posting, I'm hoping Christina Epley and Matthew Nelson are the same. They are listed in the 1840 and 1850 census in Marshall County, Tennessee, then in 1860 in St. Franscois, Wayne County, Missouri. I have all their children and can then trace my great grandfather John Mondon Nelson to Arkansas and Texas where he lived out the remainder of his life. I would like to look at more of you information if possible. Thanks, Sue
