Johanne Casper Erb (1724-1801) was born 10 May 1724, Wurtemberg Germany. He sailed from Rotterdam and Cowes on the ship Edinburg. He arrived in Philadelphia 30 September 1754 at the age of 30. Johanne Casper bought a large tract of land in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, PA. He married Catharina Margarith Metzger (1732-1785). They raised Eva Barbara, b.1757; Johanne Heinrich, b.1759; Jacob, b.1761; Johannes Georg, b.1763; Peter, b.1765; Margaretha, b.1767; Catharina, b.1769; Sophine, b.1771 and Johannes, b.1773. My line continues with the yougest son Johannes who moved to Northumberland County (Snyder County).
