I'm a decendant of Charles Binder Erb's brother, George.According to the Erb genealogy, published by Edward Erb in 1977, Elizabeth is buried in Union Cemetary, Sassamansville, PA.You may find something in the cemetary records about her parents if you live in the vicinity.
Since you know her date of her death, you could write to the Dept. of Records in Harrisburg and request the death certificate. This is how I found the names of my great-grandfather's parents. You can find information and forms for requesting these records on the PA Govt Web site.
Charles and Elizabeth were married on December 20, 1840.You could try to find out if one of the churches in Sassamansville, particularly St. Paul's (Red Hill) Lutheran Church and the Sassamansville Reformed Church, has any marriage records on the two.I'm not sure that Montgomery Co. kept marriage records in 1840; however, you could write to the Mongomery County Records Dept to see if they have information.Their address is:
1880 Markley Street (Basement)
Norristown, PA 19401
Attn: Carole Faust
Good Luck!
