Hi, I am looking for any info or connection to PETER ERB born 1840 in PA. Belive his father was named JOHN (I'm not sure of the correct spelling of it>Hans-Johannes). I have no info on his mother but know he was raised by his grandfather (last name) LUDWIG till age 14 then went to live with his uncle Will Ludwig. Peter was married 2 times: #1 Elizabeth ?(think it might be Heise) in 1862 and they had one son, GEORGE PETER ERB. They divorced around 1865/66.
#2 JULIA A. Unknowen. They married in 1867. Frist female child born 1868 and died at 4 days. Other known children, LILLY M, CHARLES F, EMMA B, and WILLIAM ERB with more poss born after the 1880 PA census. I know that Peter was a shoemaker by trade and at one time ran his own shoe and harrness repair shop in the Fisherville(Lancaster) PA area around 1867. I have this info from a old family book but haven't been able to make a conection to the right ERB branch or find the records.
