HI, I'm looking for infomation on PETER ERB born in 1840 at East Cocalico Twp near REAMSTOWN, PA. He was the son on BARBARA LUDWIG.
His father died befor he was born and he was then raised by his grandfather GEORGE LUDWIG. I have him listed in the 1850 census as Peter Erb Ludwig living in the grandfathers home. As a adult he went by the name of Peter Erb only. I have old letters written by him stating also that he was married 2 times. The first wife was a Elizabeth ? and they had one son, second was to Julia A Fiect in 1867 in Adams Co, PA (daughter of John). He had ten children that I know of. They lived in Jackson Twp, Dauphin, PA. He was a shoemaker by trade and owned his own shop (poss in Fisherville PA) at one point in time. I also know that he trained Emanuel Ludwig his nephew as a shoemaker. Looking to find LUDWIG, FIECT as well as ERB family. Please contact me at erb_kris@hotmail.com to exchange info.
