My husband's ancestress was an Elizabeth Erb born January 23, 1770 in Warwick township, Lancaster county who died September 29, 1818 in Waterloo, Ontario. Her parents were Christian Erb and Mary Sherk. Christian was born October 1, 1734 in Pennsylvania and died January 7, 1810 in Waterloo. Mary was born 1737 in Lancaster county and died August 17, 1814 in Waterloo. Christian Erb was a son of Nicholas Erb. Elizabeth Erb married Christian Schneider in 1789. All of the information except that Christian Erb was the son of Nicholas comes from a book written by my husband's great great aunt called "My Mother's People" and she credits the information on the Erbs from the Ezra Eby book, which I cannot obtain through interlibrary loan. The fact that Nicholas was Christian's father comes from the ancestral file. Do you suppose your Elizabeth Erb is connected to my husband's Elizabeth, since they both come from the same township?
