I have been wondering about this ever since getting into this a couple years ago.I have not looked very thoroughly, but I also have not discovered anything and don't really have any leads.I don't have the time now to do any searching in Northern Ireland. All that I know is that Alexander did supposedly have a brother Ninon and that his mother may have been a Barbara Weir, which makes sense since the Weirs and Erskines originated in the same general part of Scotland near Glasgow. They were apparently Presbyterians, as everyone in my family on that side was some form of Protestant, were likely part of the (heavily Scottish) Protestant Plantation of Northern Ireland, and came to the New World right at the time of a great migration of Presbyterians to the colonies because of restrictions in Britain/Ireland designed to reign them in.I would love any info you might find.I have only some info from Alexander on and I know that a lot from this family died in the American Civil War.
