Thank you for your quick reply to my question. Yes I have read and studied this line of ESCH. A wonderful website full of information on your lines.

They are not the line I am seeking. We are seeking a Henry ESCH/ASH from Columbia county, PA and before that Northampton county, PA. We have the information on the grandparents as John Michael and Catherine Esch. They were in Northampton county by 1750-55. We have wills and land deed, church baptisms, from the LDS where our cousin has found the old information for us in Salt Lake City. John Michael and Catherine had a large family listed in the will. Michael and Catherine were married in Northampton county about 1756.

Son John Christian and Barbara Kleppinger Esch had the following children that we know of: Henry, Catharina, Samuel, Christian, Jacob, and a baby girl born and died 1794.

Then information from an old ASH family reunion published in newspaper in Benton, Columbia county, we fould that son Henry went to OH. His sister (also mentioned in Aprils message) went to OH a little later. The other siblings remained in PA. They are buried in Columbia county PA.

Get confusing with both Henrys moving to OH. but they are not the same line. Appreciate your postings, and know they will help everyone seeking these families. Every clue helps!

Thanks!
Sue Ellen Ash
