Thank you for your message. How are you related to Christian and Anna? Her birth date seems correct, ditto with her parents' names. My original source (who is long gone) told me Anna's sisters were Magdalena and Barbara, both of whom married men from the Morton, Ill. area. Her brother was Christian Gerber, my gr-gr-grandfather. I have not been able to independently verify the information about the sisters. As I recall, Christian and Anna Esch are buried in Hickory Point Cemetery on Rt. 116 near Metamora. Christian Garber/Gerber and Catherine Nafziger are not related to my family to the best of my knowledge. The whole Gerber/Garber issue completely confuses me. My records are not readily available at the moment because I recently moved out of state. There is a Mennonite museum on Route 116 near Metamora; don't know if they offer any genealogical materials or can shed any light. Thanks again for getting in touch. Would love to discuss further at your convenience. JGerber
